Moving your website from one hosting company to another? You will need to know how to tell the internet how to find your new location on the web.

In order to do this, you need to modify your name servers, or DNS.

1. Log into the website where you purchased your domain name. ie Godaddy, Network Solutions or other domain registry company.

2. Find the domain that you need to update your DNS for and click on it.

3. Scroll down and look for : DNS, Name Servers or similar and click on that button.

4. Enter your Custom DNS from your new hosting provider. If you do not know what your DNS is with your new hosting company, simply give them a call and ask them.

5. You can also call your domain registration company and give them the new DNS information and they can add/update for you.
