Before starting any SEO campaign, you NEED to run a competitor analysis to find out what it will take to rank for your chosen keyword.
In this video, I’ll be showing you how to run a quick and easy SEO competitor analysis that will give you an overview of how tough your competition will be to outrank.
I wanted to provide you with as many examples as possible, which is why in this video, I’ll be going over 3 keywords that will cover most instances that you run into.
Here’s what will be covered:
1) Highly competitive local keywords:
Local keywords aren’t always easy to rank for. The bigger the city you want to go after, the more competition you’ll be up against. In this video we’ll be analysing competitors for a hyper competitive local search term, which will take anywhere from 12-24 months and deep pockets to rank #1 for.
2) Low competition local keywords:
What if you want to maximise your businesses budget and target easy to rank for keywords that have massive return on investment potential. We’ll be analysing competition for a keyword that not many people will think about going after, but will be a very profitable keyword to rank #1 for.
3) National/International:
The bigger the pond, the bigger the fish. Competing internationally can be extremely tough. In some cases, you’ll be up against some of the biggest brands in the world like Amazon, yikes! I’ll be analysing an extremely competitive keyword, and explain exactly how you can rank #1 in the most simplest way possible.
After watching this video, you’ll be able to run a competitor analysis in minutes and get a good idea of what kind of time frame and budget it will take to rank for any keyword.
