Here’s a fact: SEO audits that will move the needle don’t come from free SEO tools. For those of you who have used free tools, or almost free tools that generate a two page “report”, brace yourselves.

Real SEO audits that SEO agencies and SEO consultants put together go into lots of details, and may be anywhere from 40 pages to hundreds of pages, depending big your site is. I know many SEO consultants that deal with enterprise clients, whose SEO audits start at hundreds of pages long.

See the difference?

Free SEO scans are good for a ten-thousand foot overview: If your site needs *everything* in order to compete, then these will point those deficiencies out.

But if you are creating a specific strategy for improving your SEO, and you are competing against giants, then a full-scale, in-depth SEO audit is what you actually need.
