Looking fro SEO link building strategies that work in 2018?

Yes, Google has changed, their algorithm has updated and getting great rankings isn’t all about the number of backlinks you can build. Many people still think it’s the be-all and end-all when it comes to search engine optimization (SEO).

Not sure what I’m talking about?

Building a backlink, is simply about getting references to your website. You know those little blue underlined links on other people’s websites that point back to your website? They’re called backlinks and it’s what most people think about when they think SEO.

Yes, they’re still important but there are more things to consider when building links. First and foremost, you need to make sure that you’re building great quality links. Links that are helpful. Links that actually help your clients and prospects.

Great places to start are links from include: your suppliers and customers, links from industry blogs and submitting to key directories. In short, you just want to avoid link building strategies that focus solely on manipulating Google and don’t add any value.

Example: Let’s say you’re a house cleaner and you go to the local real estate agent (since you already have a relationship with them) and you ask if they can put a link from their website to yours. You ask that is uses the anchor text “house cleaning services Ellwood” and it links back to your. That’s a quality link 🙂

Google see all these backlinks from all these websites pointing back to yours, and they go “this guy seems pretty popular, let’s move him up the Google rankings.” And that’s one of the secrets to ranking well on Google.

So the question to ask? What’s the secret to getting quality backlinks?

It all starts with having great quality content because it’s easier for people to link to sites with quality content than to those just looking for a cheap link.

I have learned that SEO companies expect a commitment from clients for a minimum of 6 months. They all say they can’t guarantee results. So tell me how these companies are still in business? I used 2 well known, national companies to do SEO and I got NOTHING! Except an invoice every month.
