This is a pragmatic video in order for you to learn On-page SEO basics.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and involves a set of techniques and activities to optimize your website and contents to be found by the Search Engines: Google, Youtube, Bing, etc.
SEO is also about doing what it takes to improve the positioning of your website in the Search Engine Rankings and results.
Keywords are the search queries that users are performing in the Search Engines and you have to do a keyword research before writing or SEO optimizing your web page or blog post.
On-page SEO involves guidelines to organize your content around those keywords that you are trying to promote and optimize for the Search Engines.
Some of the things that we covered about On-page SEO optimization are:
► Title: The target keyword should be part of it and including a number will make it more readable.
► Meta Description: The target keyword should be part of it.
► URL: The target keyword should be part of it. 75 chars as max. length.
► Content:
►► The target keyword should be included at the very beginning and as part of the different headings (h1,…,h6).
►► Use short paragraphs to improve readability and reduce “bounce rate”.
►► Minimum 600 words.
►► Include multimedia content: images, videos, infographics, etc.
►► Images “alt” and “filename” should also include the focus keyword as well.
