There are a few benefits to having a friendly URL structure in your posts. One of the benefits is that it makes it easier for you to find or direct people to a certain page of your website. Another benefit to having a friendly URL structure is that is makes it easier for search engines to scan and index your website, which might help your rankings.

So when you’re creating a URL structure, you should focus on, number one, the user and number two, the search engines.

There are different structures you can use when I comes to your URLs, you can use only the post name, also you can structure it by the date and name, or you can create a custom structure. I recommend using the structure of date and name, because this avoids conflicts between posts with very similar topics.

In this video I’ll show you exactly how to change the URL structure of your website in WordPress, and I’ll give you some insights on things to keep in mind when creating such structure.
