A common question people ask me about working with SEO clients is what you should charge.
In this video I talk about the pros and cons of working with clients who don’t have a high budget to spend on SEO and if it’s worth doing or not.
The biggest thing I’ve found when it comes to working with clients is overall how they work with you over a period of time.
Do they call you every 2 days?
Do they understand what work your doing based on what they are spending?
Generally this lies within a communication area, setting expectations and also being able to still get quality results based on their budget.
I generally recommend only working with local SEO (map pack) based clients for such a small budget.
The competition can be quite fierce if your doing national SEO and working with such a small budget.
Again, this really comes down to competition as a plumber in a small city even in the map pack will be a different story from a Lawyer in Boston.
Do your own due diligence when going into pricing conversations and don’t be afraid to sell your services for what they are worth.
You may decide you prefer to work with a few higher ticket $2000+ clients or you may want to work with a bulk number of $500+ clients.
This will vary on the services you provide and who you work with.

Some links shared on my channel I do receive compensation for. This may include anything I recommend either as an affiliate or from my own products. Any earnings or income representations are aspirational statements only of your earning potential. I can make no promises that you’ll receive the same results or any results at all for that matter. Your results will depend entirely on how much action you take, your experience etc.. As always there is risk with any business. I am not a financial advisor and nothing in this video should be considered legal advice. You should do your own due diligence and research.
Hey John, good video. I have also been in those situations where deciding on whether or not to take on a lower paying client.Your video is a good workaround on taking on those clients without spending a whole lot a time. Thx for taking the time in putting this together.
Yes indeed! No problem and thanks for stopping by.
